Though the characters are rich and funny, the emotive qualities that the books give me are light and airy. Digital manipulation is great, but to mirror the book I decided to emulate a rudimental approach – which is so under-appreciate. 

Linocut and woodcut carving is one of my favorite mediums today, which is the technique I decided to use to create the front and back covers. I physically carved / printed the images and scanned them into my working files.
