CLICHE SOIREE

 

OBJECTIVE

 

This project’s objective was to design print collateral  for a fundraising event  at a local art museum. 

 

INSPIRATION

 

I called the event “A  Cliche Soirée” as it appeals to the urban and indie guests, who financially support the museum, the events, and exhibitions. It was imperative to create something edgy and high-end to appeal to their sophisticated supporters. 

 

INSIGHT

 

This art museum is one that I am very familiar with as it is in my home town, St. Louis, Mo. The Contemporary Art Museum (aka CAM) is known for challenging the city of St. Louis and educating progressive themes through their chosen artists. “Basquiat Before Basquiat” was a real exhibition that this fundraising dinner was meant to open for.
